Famous film director of Assam Dara Ahmed passed away at age 72 on Monday morning at a private hospital in Guwahati. Dara Ahmed had complaint of chest pain on Sunday afternoon after having his lunch and then was rushed to the hospital. But his health deteriorated and he was admitted to ICU before breathing his last on today morning.
Dara Ahmed had directed many popular Assamese films like ‘Rikshawala’, ‘Jokhini’, ‘Urvashi’, ‘Devi’ and others. He was also the assistant director popular Assamese popular film ‘Dr. Bezbarua’. The Chief minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma has also condoled the demise of the prominent director.
